The Difference Between a Toggle Switch and a Push Switch

Toggle Switch
A toggle switch is commonly used and is popular in residential homes. This type of switch comes in single-pole, double-pole, and triple-pole versions. Its distinctive feature is that once it is pressed to one side, it stays in that position until pressed in the opposite direction.

Push Switch
A push switch requires pressing or holding to create or separate the circuit. When the user releases the switch, it returns to its previous position. This is an example of a non-locking switch. Such switches are useful for various applications, such as adjusting the brightness of lights but it needs to be used together with additional accessories such as modules or relay control unit.
